How to change your password for your Linux server

Got a lot of people asking how to change the root password on their linux servers using shell, here it is:
just log into your server using root and simply type in shell : passwd you'll get a command prompt and just follow it ,it's that simple :)
Remember to use a really difficult passwords with a minimum of 8 characters !
